DRAFT — pending legal counsel review. This text must not be relied on for a real sale.
Tixnest is operated by Athos Studio Productions et Technologies inc. ("Tixnest", "we"), 1414 rue Chomedey, Montréal, Québec, NEQ [to be confirmed]. These terms govern buyers' use of the Tixnest marketplace.
1. Who does what
Tixnest operates the marketplace and processes payment as agent of the organizer. The organizer is the seller and issuer of the ticket, responsible for the event and for the tax shown on the ticket (GST/QST), which appears on the receipt.
The card statement shows the organizer's name (Stripe on_behalf_of). Tixnest never stores card data; Stripe processes payments.
2. Before you pay
Before payment, you're shown:
- the organizer's name, address, phone and email;
- the event, its date and venue;
- the itemized price and total, taxes included;
- how tickets are delivered (email, PDF, wallet pass);
- the refund and cancellation conditions.
You can review and correct your order before accepting. A copy of the contract (your order confirmation) is emailed to you immediately after purchase.
3. The price shown is the price paid
Under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, the advertised price is what you pay, taxes aside. No service fees are added at checkout: Tixnest's fee is deducted from what the organizer receives.
4. Buying and the waiting room
- Checkout needs no account: you pay as a guest.
- Tickets are held only for the length of checkout.
- The virtual queue grants no guaranteed purchase, and a queue position can be lost.
- Per-order limits apply. Bots and automated buying are prohibited.
- A private event requires an access code, which must not be shared.
- Payments are screened automatically for fraud (Stripe Radar) and may be declined. See the privacy policy for the automated-decision notice.
5. Tickets and entry
Tickets are delivered by signed links and QR codes. Each ticket admits one person: the first valid scan admits, later scans of a copy are refused. A screenshot or forwarded copy is at your own risk.
The organizer sets entry conditions (age, ID, bag policy) and is responsible for them.
6. Transfer and resale
You can't transfer a ticket yourself on the platform; Tixnest support can transfer one on request. Reselling above the advertised price without the organizer's consent is prohibited. Tixnest may void a ticket resold in breach of this rule.
7. Refunds
See our refund policy. If the event is cancelled, the refund is automatic.
8. Chargebacks
You can always ask your card issuer for a chargeback; these terms don't restrict that right. We encourage you to contact us first.
9. Minimum age
You must be 14 or older to buy. Anyone under 14 needs a parent or guardian to buy for them.
10. Liability
The organizer is responsible for the event itself: content, performance, venue and safety. Tixnest's liability is limited to the extent Quebec law allows.
11. Changes and complaints
We may change these terms; the version in force when you bought governs your order. Questions: contact@tixnest.com.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Quebec law. Quebec courts have jurisdiction for Quebec consumers.
